You need creativity, strong team working skills, attention to detail and patience/concentration. These things are key to being a good photographer. Photography takes time so without these skills you will fail to take the best photograph you possibly can.

I can think of : Documentary, portraiture, still life, landscape, photogram, cyanotype, war photography, nature photography, photo-journalism.

Yes and no. Some images are posed and made in a certain way on purpose. Although some images are posed people can still have their own perspective on them. On the other hand some images are completely natural and when they are others can tell that image was not posed.

When other people look at your photograph and like it and admire it, thats how you know you've made a good, respectable photograph.
